The director of Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited Dr. Ram Dev Singh has handed over the "RBB Golden Jubilee Scholarship" to six students from obsolescent indigenous and ethnic group to support their higher education. Dharma Raj Pathharkat(Kushwadia) has got Rs.3500/month for 10+2 study for two years. Likewise, Krishna Gopal Hayu, Prabindra Rajji, Bipul Meche Chaudhary, Menuka Hayu and Rajaram Rajji have got Rs.5000/month for their bachelor level study for three years. The bank is distributing the Scholarship since the year 2015. The top officials of RBB including Deputy CEO Mr. Bishnu Prasad Baidya, DGM Mr. Sushil Shrestha, Mr. Kabiraj Adhikari, and Mr. Keshab Prasad Lamsal were present on the Scholarship distribution ceremony.

Dr. Rewat Bahadur Karki, the Chairman of RBBL Board of Directors handed over the Cheque of NRS 1 crore to PM Sushil Koirala – for the purpose of depositing in the PM Disaster Relief Fund, amidst a ceremony. The members of BOD RBBL and top officials of RBBL including CEO Krishna Prasad Sharma were present on the occasion.
It is memorable that RBB has distributed rice worth of 3 millions to the mega earthquake victims of Sindhupalchok and Nuwakot. Similarly the employees of the RBB distributed edible items including rice, salt and sugar to the victims by collecting the sum of 1 crore 22 lakh from their salary ranging from 5 to 15 days.
In a first move towards conducting financial literacy campaign in the country – aimed to raise awareness of saving, transacting with the Bank for saving/loan and thereby enhance entrepreneurship amongst the people in general, Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited (RBBL) took part in an extensive march past organized in the capital – pioneered by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) – the central Bank of the country. The participants in their red t shirts, in the march past were carrying the placards of different slogans on saving ,bank loan and entrepreneurship. The RBBL march past was initiated by Krishna Prasad Prasad Sharma – the CEO of Bank amidst a brief ceremony organized at central office premises – based in Singhdurbar Plaza Kathmandu. Later ,the procession converged into the mass rally in Basantapur Dabali - coordinated by Nepal Rastra Bank in course of celebrating Global Money Week (10-17 March 2014 in accordance with Child and Youth Finance International, with the participation of various bankers and students. Following the formal inauguration of rally in Basantapur Dabali - by Dr.Yubaraj Khatiwada – the Governor of NRB, the rally went through the major parts of the metropolitan city and concluded in Bhrikuti Mandap.
